My goal is to give you the smile you deserve

Teeth cleaning is an important dental treatment for stopping the progression of gingivitis and periodontal disease.

Regular teeth cleaning is an effective procedure in keeping the oral cavity in proper health and halting the progression of gum disease. The benefits include; plaque removal, a healthier looking smile, and fresher breath!

The initial treatment for periodontal disease is a thorough cleaning along with scaling or root planing. The goal of these non-surgical procedures is to remove dental plaque, tartar, or calculus, which cause gingival inflammation and disease.

Scaling and root planing can be used as a stand-alone treatment, or a preventative measure. They are commonly performed on cases of gingivitis and moderate-to-severe periodontal disease.

Crown Lengthening

Gummy smile? We can fix that

Common reasons for Crown Lengthening can include health improvement of the gum tissue, to prepare the mouth for a procedure, or correct a “gummy smile”. A “gummy smile” is used to describe an instance where teeth are covered with excess gum tissue resulting in a less esthetically-pleasing smile.

The procedure involves reshaping or recontouring the gum tissue and bone around the tooth to create a new gum-to–tooth relationship. Crown lengthening can be performed on a single tooth, multiple teeth, or the entire gum line.

When recession of the gums occurs, the body loses a natural defense against both bacteria and trauma. When gum recession is a problem, gum tissue grafting techniques are a great option.

Tissue grafting, also called gum grafting or periodontal plastic surgery, can be performed for number of periodontal surgical procedures in which the gum tissue is grafted. The goal can be to cover exposed root surfaces or to augment keratinized tissue.

Guided Bone & Tissue Regeneration

Treating comprehensive periodontal disease

If periodontal disease is present, pockets of degenerated bone develop in the jaw. These pockets can promote the growth of bacteria and the spread of infection.

Guided Bone & Tissue Regeneration may be recommend. During this surgical procedure, the pockets are cleaned thoroughly, and a membrane is installed between the soft tissue and the pocket in the bone. The membrane covers the pocket so that fast-growing soft tissue is blocked, and slower-growing bone can begin to grow, or “regenerate” itself.

Losing one or two of your teeth may not seem like a big deal but what our patients are often surprised to learn is that even a single tooth falling out is cause for concern. Not replacing lost teeth can have major adverse implications for your overall oral health.

Fortunately, there is a treatment option!

Dental implant’s offer a permanent naturally pleasing result. Implants provide both great aesthetic factors and functionality.

If the cuspid tooth is impacted it is important to seek treatment. The cuspid tooth plays a critical role in the dental arch and in your “bite”.

The cuspid's are intended to be the first teeth that touch when your jaw is closed. They guide the rest of the teeth into the proper bite.

If the tooth fails to erupt properly a simple procedure may be required.
